Italian Sausage & Peppers

Prep Time   15 minutes
Total Time   45 minutes
Serves  4-6

Serve this with cooked pasta and you have an instant taste of Italy!



1 lb italian sausage links, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
2 medium green peppers, cut into thin slices
1 medium onion, cut into thin slices
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons chicken broth
6 plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

In a large Dutch oven, cook the sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.  Add the remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender; stirring occasionally.  Serve with slotted spoon.
